When Should You Start Using a Pregnancy Pillow?

While discomfort tends to increase in the second and third trimesters, some women find relief from a pregnancy pillow as early as the first trimester. As the belly grows, added pressure on the lower back, hips, and legs can lead to discomfort, making sleep more difficult.

Using a pregnancy pillow early can help develop better sleep posture and prevent aches before they become severe. Since each pregnancy is different, it’s best to start using a pregnancy pillow as soon as sleeping becomes uncomfortable.
