Given the current high profile of the “biosecurity” concept among potential funding sources, I see that explicit references to biosecurity should have been a thread through this presentation about phyconomy development. Honestly, I am still coming to grips with what, exactly, “biosecurity” means and what implications are for phyconomy and seaweed value chain development.

At first blush, it seems that a push toward biosecurity implies a push toward evolving more precision phyconomy tecniques into adaptive phyconomy systems. Food for thought …
