Thanks for very comprehensive presentation on Eucheumatoids and Gracilaria cultivation in Venezuela. There are incidences of invasion of introduced Eucheumatoids in some countries. Have you ever come across such incidences in your country.
Also, it is often reported that repeated cultivation from the same genotype causes loss of vigour of germplasm. Did you find declining production potential of germplasm grown in your country.
Whether farmers prefer to cultivate carrageenophytes or agarophytes?

I am just curious and would like to know:
1. For the area with the earliest or longest history of seaweed cultivation in Venezuela and / or the Caribbeanm is the original company or group of farmers still doing commercial seaweed production? Has it become bigger? What are the biggest or most important benefits that people or communities involved in seaweed production get?  Are there improvements in child health and education that can be traced to the seaweed industry?
